Jenny Kemp

Steady Curve

New York artist Jenny Kemp has refined a painterly language that nods to color field abstraction, visionary architecture, mystical abstraction, and, from time to time, the body.

 

Kemp's work has been discussed in the New York Times, Architectural Digest , and theHuffington Post. Her work is included in Thames and Hudson's 100 Painters of Tomorrow,and the 2019 Northeast Region edition of New American Paintings. Kemp is a 2015 NYFA fellow (painting).

 

Kemp lives and works in Troy NY, where she sits on the board of Collar Works, an artist-run exhibition space, and teaches at SUNY Albany and Union College.
