Getting to Gold/montclair*

The gallery is located at 594 Valley Road in Upper Montclair village, in a courtyard behind Toros Turkish restaurant. Follow the brick walkway between Toros and Clores flower shop to the courtyard. 

​

We are open Thursday and Friday 10-5, Saturday 12-5, and by appointment.

By Car:

 

Montclair is 12 miles west of Manhattan, in a straight shot out of the Lincoln Tunnel along Route 3 to Grove Street exit. There is a parking lot directly behind the gallery called the Upper Montclair Parking Lot. There is also street parking on Valley Road.

By Train:

Monday-Friday:

There is frequent direct train service from New York Penn Station to Upper Montclair on the Morris&Essex and Montclair-Boonton lines. The Upper Montclair stop is a stone's throw from the gallery.

 

Weekend:

There are no buses or trains to Upper Montclair on the weekend, but there is service to Bay Street Montclair, which is a short Uber ride to the gallery (two miles).

To attend a 5 PM opening you can take the Morris & Essex 6931 at 4:11 to arrive at Bay Street at 4:45. Then Uber / Lyft 2 miles to the gallery.

Returning to New York on weekends, there is a 7PM out of Bay Street that arrives at Penn at 7:41 (Montclair-Boonton 0534) and a 9 PM that arrives at 9:39. (Montclair-Boonton 0538). There is another train departing at 12:01 AM arriving at 12:39 (Montclair-Boonton 0544).

* Unfortunately we lost our commuter bus service during Covid. A new service called Boxcar runs M-F during commuter hours, but service is limited. You can look at the Boxcar App for more information.
